Ceremony 4pm to 6pm
Potluck & Fire 6pm to 8pm
In Person Event at
The Sanctuary at Mother Moon Mentoring
Our Evening Together
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Sacred Cacao Ceremony
We will gather in sacred circle to share the heart-opening medicine of Mama Cacao, connect with the energy of the Full Moon in Gemini, and explore gratitude, reflection, and release. Our ceremony will include guided meditation, journaling, sacred sharing, drumming, rattling, and raising our voices together in song.
This is an opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life, turn inward, and allow yourself to be supported by the energy of cacao, the Moon, and the women gathered around you.
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM | Community Potluck & Sacred Fire
Following our ceremony, we invite you to stay and enjoy an evening of community connection around the fire. We'll share food, conversation, laughter, and the simple beauty of being together. This is a time to deepen connections, nourish ourselves, and enjoy the warmth of community.
If you plan to join us for the potluck, we ask that you please bring a food item to share with the group. The cacao ceremony is the heart of our gathering, and we warmly invite you to stay afterward for our community potluck and fire.
Whether you can stay for the entire evening or need to head home following the ceremony, you are welcome. The potluck and fire are an optional extension of our sacred time together, offered for those who wish to linger a little longer in community.

Lauren Hoover | Cacao Ceremony Guide
Lauren has been walking alongside the sacred medicine of Mama Cacao for many years, deepening her relationship with this beautiful plant teacher through personal practice, ceremony, and the wisdom shared by elders in other communities.
Alongside our dear friend Ongela, Lauren has co-guided cacao ceremonies, creating sacred spaces for connection, healing, and heartfelt expression. Her reverence for Mama Cacao and the traditions surrounding this medicine brings a beautiful depth and intentionality to the ceremonies she holds.
Lauren invites us to slow down, open our hearts, and receive the gentle wisdom that Mama Cacao has to offer.
Corinne Casatelli | Mother Moon of The Sanctuary
As a moonologist, and steward of The Sanctuary at Mother Moon Mentoring, Corinne has devoted her work to helping others reconnect with the wisdom of the Moon, the rhythms of nature, and the sacredness within themselves.
Through her relationship with the land and her honoring of the ancestors who walked it before us, Corinne holds The Sanctuary as more than simply a gathering space. It is a living, breathing place of connection, remembrance, and community.
Her passion lies in bringing women together, creating spaces where they can be seen, heard, and witnessed, and reminding us of the ancient wisdom that lives within the experience of gathering in circle.
Through lunar wisdom, sacred ritual, and heartfelt connection, Corinne invites us to remember our relationship with the natural cycles of life and the beauty of walking alongside one another.

Together in Ceremony
Lauren and Corinne bring their unique gifts together to weave an evening of cacao medicine, lunar wisdom, sacred sound, and sisterhood. Their shared intention is simple: to create a sacred space where women can arrive exactly as they are, open their hearts, honor their journeys, and remember the power of gathering together.
Preparing For Your Cacao Ceremony
Ceremonial cacao is more than a warm cup of chocolate. It is a sacred plant medicine that has been honored in Mesoamerican traditions for generations. We approach Mama Cacao with gratitude, reverence, and an intention to connect more deeply with ourselves and one another.
To help you prepare for your experience, we encourage the following:
Nourish Your Body Mindfully
We recommend avoiding a heavy meal for approximately two hours before the ceremony, allowing your body to comfortably receive the cacao. However, please listen to your body's needs. If you need to eat for medical reasons or personal comfort, a light snack is absolutely appropriate.
Stay Hydrated
Bring a water bottle and drink plenty of water throughout the day. We encourage you to continue hydrating during and after the ceremony.
Be Mindful of Caffeine
Cacao naturally contains theobromine and some caffeine, which can have stimulating effects. Consider limiting coffee and other caffeinated beverages before our gathering, especially if you are sensitive to stimulants.
Bring Your Journal
We will be working with gratitude, reflection, and release through guided meditation and journaling. Please bring a journal and something to write with so you can capture whatever arises for you during our time together.
Dress for Comfort
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to relax and move freely. You may also wish to bring a favorite blanket, shawl, or anything that helps you feel cozy and grounded during our ceremony.
Come With an Open Heart
You are welcome to share, sing, or participate in ways that feel comfortable to you. There is no pressure to speak or share more than you wish. Simply bring yourself, exactly as you are.
*A Note About Cacao & Your Health*
Ceremonial cacao can be rich and stimulating. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a heart condition, are sensitive to caffeine or theobromine, or take medications that may interact with stimulants, please check with your healthcare professional before participating. Let us know in advance if you have any concerns so we can discuss your options. Participation in drinking cacao is always optional.
A Sacred Invitation
The Full Moon reminds us that there are seasons for holding on and seasons for letting go. Perhaps there are words you've been afraid to speak, stories you've outgrown, or emotions you've been carrying that are ready to be witnessed.
Perhaps you simply need an evening to reconnect with yourself, sit among other women, and remember that you don't have to navigate everything alone. Whatever brings you here, there is space for you in our circle.
We invite you to gather with us, open your heart, raise your voice, and release what you are ready to leave behind.
We look forward to welcoming you to The Sanctuary.
